Typhoon Sendong

December 17th
A devastating incident happened happened in Northern Mindanao.
Typhoon Sendong made a landfall in CDO and Iligan City. It was unexpected to both cities since they never expected that it would be this catastrophic.
Around 2am, the rivers overflowed affecting the nearby areas to be flooded. I saw some pictures from FB friends the aftermath of the storm. One video really broke my heart:

Tears started falling in my eyes without even knowing. How could this happen? With Christmas just around the corner, these affected people have lost their homes. They would be building their lives all over again. But I am still thankful that even with the material things gone, the family members are still alive. Some were unfortunate enough, they lost their relatives when the storm happened. It is so depressing to see the pictures. I have stayed in Iligan and Cagayan and I never imagined that it would come to this disastrous event.

Let us make a mark and help our brothers and sisters in need.
